So I have, well, I'm going to eventually have 4 collages I would like to get laminated or protected in some other way. I have two right now, and I'm also working on two others. I am still pricing lamination with various places. Kinkos was $30 per square inch! So I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to any other way besides lamination I could protect my collages. Or, if you can think of anywhere besides Staples, Office Max, or Office Depot to do lamination let me know. I'm also getting prices from local places here too. Thank you!
  • what are you using for the collages? computer print outs might smear no matter what. hmm... maybe like a spay clear coat. That'd be good. And you can spray both sides. Always do tests first!
But you know what? if you really want them laminated (which will definately be the best protection) then make a small collage out of whatever, and get that laminated first. Do that at every place. Then write on the backs the place and compare. See, the bad things about collages is that they aren't a perfectl'y smooth surface, therefore, it's really easy to get bubbles stuck in there during the lamination process, and though there are things you can do to minimize the bubble's appearance, it'll always be there. But some places have different types of laminators. There are hot press and cold press laminators. The hot press are generally better at getting bubbles out. See, it'll be really expensive, but it'll be way worth it, and you'll have references for the future.
